Okay, we have almost double the number of prompts we normally get and a lot of new members so I'm seriously excited about the challenge this month.

You guise know what happens when I get excited, right?! So - I'm offering something to sweeten the pot and hopefully gather some MAJOR input to finish off this last Challenge of 2009!


I'm so excited about the prompts for Challenge #9 that I decided a little BAM was in order. Hey, it's celebration time - I'm in the holiday mood early this year.

Fine Print
We will go by the number of comments received here at the community for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Anonymous comments will count only if they are from unique IP addresses, so we will be tracking those. In the event of a tie, the time/date stamp of the comments will determine the winner(s), with the earlier comment(s) being counted.

First, great idea! It's nice to see some new faces, too!

Second, I assume we need to post the story AT the comm to get comments there. In other words, the point is to get traffic to the comm, not to our fic journals, for example. Am I right in this? It's no problem for me, I just wanted to be sure I understood. :-)

Yes. People are welcome to cross-post their work at their journals, but we will only count comments for the purposes of determining winners that are posted here at the community.

Also, comments from the posters themselves don't count toward their own work, but will certainly count if they comment on someone else's!
