Spring has sprung and with it a flood of great prompts related to the season of greening in these parts!

To claim your prompt(s), simply leave a comment. Up to two folks can claim the same prompt and you can claim more than one prompt if you'd like. Stories, art, and/or vids on the prompts must be posted here by 30 April 2010. Beyond that, almost anything goes! Any questions can probably be answered in our profile, which you can find here, but feel free to PM your co-mods, [livejournal.com profile] lila_blue_b  and [livejournal.com profile] sylvanwitch  . We're happy to have you here and would love to hear from you!

We can hardly wait to see what you've got!

  1. Spring break is coming up, and all his friends are talking about where they're going. Sam wants, very much, to travel - but to nowhere in particular.

  2. Sam's first spring in California; Dean's first spring without Sam.   Claimed by [livejournal.com profile] nantahala .

  3. Passover-ish: Something is killing the first-born children in a small California town. Sam notices the trend from the news coverage and does some investigating. When he learns Dean has come to the area, he has to keep him safe, which means keeping him away. Claimed by [livejournal.com profile] yaycoffee .

  4. Ostara arrives with a bang the first year Sam's away at Stanford. Dad's in Little Rock, Dean's in Montana, and there's a strange commune up in the hills that the locals are all muttering about. When rabbits start to run wild and everyone's fancies turn to thoughts of a very free love, Dean decides to check them out.

He pictures patchouli-wearing hippies. What he gets is something else entirely.  Claimed by [livejournal.com profile] sylvanwitch .

  5. Spring in the Great Smoky Mountains comes as a surprise, everything turning green seemingly overnight. Only in the deep valleys where the sun never quite shines is there still snow. And in the snow, the prints of something not-quite-human. The Cherokee call it a cannibal. Cannibal or no, John Winchester is there to kill it. Of course, that'd be easier if he had either of his boys. But Sam's no longer a part of the family, and Dean's off doing god knows what. That leaves John, a family of Cherokee men, an ancient legend, and a fistful of guts and glory to get it done. Claimed by [livejournal.com profile] sylvanwitch

  6. Spring comes to Stanford as a suggestion of different air, the light lighter, the green brighter. He thinks he might never tire of seeing the sun. But a shadow marks the days leading up to the Spring Equinox as a series of sexual assaults of young women on campus leads Sam to wonder if there's something supernatural gone terribly astray. His first solo, reluctant hunt on campus offers challenges he never had when Sam had Dean at his back.

  7. Dean.

    Next year in Jerusalem.

Feel free to interpret that allegorically.

  8. Photo by Eric Stensland, taken in Rocky Mountain National Park.

  9. Something happened here on April 1st.

  10. Dean knows it's time to give the Impala its Spring tune-up and tire rotation, and he's enjoying the bright sunshine and the cool, light breeze tracing over his back as he spins the wrench to loosen the bolt on the hubcap. He tries not to think too hard about how last year, about this time, Sammy had shyly come up & leaned over the engine with a curious look in his eyes.

  11. Sam and Jess skip school the first warm spring day.

  12. Dean hunts a rabid Easter Bunny.

  13. The Winchesters (1 to all 3 of them) deal with a flood.

  14. I'm as restless as a willow in a windstorm
I'm as jumpy as a puppet on a string
I'd say that I had spring fever
But I know it isn't spring

The first spring, Sam goes a little stir crazy.   Claimed by [livejournal.com profile] cleflink .

  15. Sam's caught more than a little flatfooted by the way the whole campus dissolves into an orgy of alcohol consumption for St. Patrick's Day - drinking himself into a stupor had never been his thing, after all, and Dad had never needed the excuse of a special day for it.

He bets Dean would love it though.

Enjoy!

So apparently between thinking up prompts and now I managed to bunny myself. *wry* I'd like to claim 14 if I could.

And is it possible to come back at a later date to claim another if I find the time to write it? *eyes other prompts eagerly*
